Adebayor explained that his family are not after his progress but only his money.

Born on February 26, 1984, Adebayor is a famous Togolese footballer who has played for clubs like Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham, and Crystal Palace.

It is expected for Emmanuel Adebayor to have a superb and cordial relationship with his family considering the millions he has made in football.

But there have been so many reports that Adebayor who currently plays for Turkish club Istanbul Basasehir is currently having issues with his mother and other family members.

The 33-year-old has however explained that he has abandoned his mother and other family members claiming that they are not helping his professional career.

'I am now a new man, and I'm happy with my present life because my family are only after my account and not my life or my career.

Imagine my mother saying publicly that I have never given her 200 dollars, and how would that be possible because I have even bought houses, cars for people I don't know.
"The only time I will get a call from any member of my family will be when they want me to send them money as they don't really care about how I live or if there is any difficulty I'm going through.'

Many times when I was injured, none of my family would ever call me to ask about how I was recuperating, but the only thing is for me to keep sending money to them. "I respect the fact that my mother was there for me during my trouble times when I was young, but the fact is I will ever cherish her and adore her.''  Iam not talking to any member of my family again because they are not helping my job and I am happy the way I am presently,'''.
