Gerard Pique broke down in tears describing Barcelona's 3-0 win over Las Palmas (Details, pics)
Pique in tears while giving the post match interview when Barcelona played behind closed doors:
Piqué: "The board tried to suspend the game, but it wasn't possible. We debated it, but the club told us to play."
Piqué: "It has been a tough day. The images of police brutality speak for themselves. Many years ago, there was no problem."
Piqué: "Everyone has their opinion. Everyone's opinion should be respected."
Piqué: "I understand there are people in Catalunya who do not know that we have played this game."
Piqué: "I don't think the 'more than a club' motto falls for this decision. We played because the club wanted us to."
Piqué: "In Spain for many years, we had to live under Franco. Voting is a right that everyone has. It should be defended."
Piqué (crying when he said this): "I am Catalan. I feel Catalan, today more than ever. I feel proud for the people of Catalunya."
Piqué: "Over the past 7 years, we have behaved wonderfully well, without aggression. The PN and GC have caused this."
Piqué (crying when he said this): "We live in a democracy. We have a voice!"
Piqué: "If someone in the federation believes I am a problem, I will leave the Spain national team. I have no problem of doing so."
