She was once hailed as being the 'most beautiful girl in the world'.

And Thylane Blondeau managed to look like an effortlessly stylish teenager as she stepped out in a dressed-down ensemble in Los Angeles on Monday.

The 16-year-old model turned the sidewalk into her catwalk as she enjoyed a spot of lunch in the trendy West Hollywood area.

The French star seemed in high spirits as she sauntered along to the eatery in a graphic print hoodie, leggings and trainers.

Proving that despite her established modelling career she is just like any other teenager, Thylane partook in an animated conversation with a male companion as she prepared to indulge herself at a trendy organic cafe.

And it looked to be a day of indulgence as the pals were later pictured grabbing a bite at Madeo restaurant later that evening.

Opting for an outfit change, Thylane stuck to an all-black dress code, though this time sported a simple fitted trousers and top combination, layered beneath a cool bomber jacket.

The rising star has been modelling since the tender age of four and had even walked for Jean Paul Gaultier.

But it was her cover for Vogue Enfants at just six years old which won over the hearts of the nation.

The blonde beauty was the youngest ever model to pose for French Vogue.

Although some criticised the magazine publication for being too 'sexualised', she was hailed as the 'most beautiful girl in the world'.

Her mother Veronika Loubry, a fashion designer, defended the cover at the time, telling a French newspaper,

'The only thing that shocks me about the photo is the necklace that she's wearing, which is worth 3 million Euros,' or about $4.3 million.'

Thylane, meanwhile, has gone on to become a brand ambassador for L'Oréal, following in the star-studded steps of Eva Longoria, Blake Lively and, perhaps most excitingly of all, former Girls Aloud star Cheryl.
