Damian Marley, Wizkid, Stormzy, Stefflon Don all win big At the 2017 MOBO Award in Leeds... Full Award winners (Details, pics)

Nigerian Superstars, Wizkid and Davido both win big at just concluded MOBO Awards 2017 which was held at the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

Wizkid won the category of Best international Act against American artistes and legends like JayZ, Cardi-B, Solange, Drake, SZA, DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, Migos and Kendrick Lamar… It's really good to see his getting some international recognition.

Next up is Davido who was nominated for the Best African Act category with other African artistes such as Maleek Berry, Eugy, Juls, Mr Eazi, Sarkodie, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Wande Coal and Wizkid... The self acclaimed "Omo Baba Olowo" won the award.

It's good to see that the world is now embracing the African music sound Africa and it is evident that these sounds are not just being acknowledged, they’re being received and appreciated with meaningful awards to show for it.
