Drama as corpse allegedly refuses to leave city building for burial in the village, relatives forced to use a crane (Details, pics)
There was a mild drama in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) on Tuesday, November 21, after a body 'refused' to leave a city building for a befitting.
The body of the deceased had been kept at one of the funeral homes in the CBD pending journey upcountry for its final resting place. It was reported that relatives claimed the body had refused to leave through the door which was why they called for the assistance of a crane, due to the height of the storey building.
This incident that left members of the public dazed happened along Nairobi's Mfangano street where North Rift shuttle main offices are located. The body is said to have finally been taken home after being pulled out through the back window.
Such cases are not strange in Kenya, especially Western Kenya where cases of bodies refusing to go home for their final rest abound.
Wonders shall never cease!
