Late Alexis Sanchez penalty ensures Arsenal climb to 4th position on the EPL log (Details, pics)

A late Alexis Sanchez penalty kick has gifted Premier League giant Arsenal all three point in a tough but interesting English Premier League encounter at the Turf Moor stadium.

Arsenal seem to be the side that the needed the 3 points the most considering the fact that rivals Liverpool and Chelsea played a 1-1 at Anfield.

The game started against Burnley started with a high tempo as Arsenal dominated the play but could not break the resilient defence of Burnley. At the end of 45 minutes, the game was a stalemate.

The Gunner finally broke the deadlock in the last minute of the game in the 3rd minute of additional time as James Tarkowski committed a foul on an Arsenal player in the penalty area leaving referee Lee Mason no option but to blow his whistle pointing to the penalty spot.

It was Alexis Sanchez that stepped up to the spot to take the penalty and he made no mistake in firing the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal to give the goalkeeper no chance.

The victory pushed Arsenal to the 4th position in the log table with 25 points, one behind Chelsea.

In other Premier League matchday 13 tie, Manchester United defeated Brigton 1-0, Tottenham played a 1-1 draw with West Brom, Liverpool and Chelsea also played out a 1-1 draw at Anfield.
