Will Smith's daughter Willow, 17, laments growing up in the spotlight with a famous family... and warns that she may 'suddenly disappear' in candid interview (Details, pics)

She is the daughter of one of Hollywood's power couples Will and Jada Pinket Smith, who has gone on to make a name for herself as a singer and actress. But Willow Smith has now revealed that she finds the experience of growing up under the gaze of the spotlight to be 'absolutely, excruciatingly terrible' - and has warned that she may 'suddenly disappear' as a result.

The 17-year-old told Girlgaze magazine: 'Growing up and trying to figure out your life while people feel like they have some sort of entitlement to know what's going on is absolutely, excruciatingly terrible and the only way to get over it is to go into it.

'You can't change your face. You can't change your parents. You can't change any of those things. So I feel like most kids like me end up going down a spiral of depression and the world is sitting looking at them through their phones; laughing and making jokes and making memes at the crippling effect that this lifestyle has on the psyche.

'Despite having no choice in her life as a celebrity offspring, the actress starred in I Am Legend in the good company of her Hollywood heartthrob dad in 2007 at the tender age of seven.

Willow received a Young Artist Award for her performance in the film as she played the on-screen daughter to Will's leading role.

As the youngest artist to be signed to a label, the singer also courted attention with her singles Whip My Hair and 21st Century Girl released in 2010 at just ten years old.

Willow explained with her parentage she only has two choices — to carve a career in the star-studded footsteps of Will and Jada or completely disappear.

She added: 'I'm either going to try to go into it completely and help from inside or no one is going to know where I am and I'm really going to take myself completely out of the eye of society. There's really no inbetween.

'Well endowed with her parent's good looks, it is no surprise Willow looked striking as she posed up a storm in a vibrant magazine cover December 2017 cover.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air hunk and The Nutty Professor have been happily married since 1997 and raise their two children Willow and her older brother Jaden, 19.Jaden also has debuted his acting career alongside his dad when he played the on-screen son in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness.

Following successes with Karate Kid and The Day The Earth Stood Still, the rising star then went onto reunite with Will in 2013 movie After Earth.
