Emotional prisoner bid farewell to his little daughter who replied with 'Bye bye Dad' not knowing he is about to be executed (Details, pics)

A man has found himself in serious trouble after beating his wife to death, filming it so that he could show off to his friends.

According to Metro UK, Anastasia Oviannikova died six days after the horrific attack at the hands of Maxim Gribanov in Lebedyan, western Russia.

The husband had repeatedly struck her to prove that he had her ‘under control’ when she told him that she wanted to leave him. Pictures from the brutal attack show her on a sofa with bruises across her entire body. When she was taken to hospital, Anastasia, 28, was found to have severe bruising, internal bleeding and several broken bones.

She slipped into a coma and as a result of such horrific injuries she never woke up and died six days later. A family friend said: ‘She was so full of hope and fun but this man destroyed her life. He should be treated in the same way as he treated her.’

Gribanov kicked and punched her repeatedly over a course of several hours then showed the footage to his friends. Anastasia’s friends said that she had met someone new and was trying to build up the courage to leave her violent husband, who had forced her to quit her town hall job. However, after suffering years of abuse, bullying and intimidation she was too scared to leave him in fear of what he would do.

He even threatened her brother and father if they reported him or if they tried to stop him from beating Anastasia. Yulia Kuznetzova, a police spokeswoman, said: ‘At first the man was charged with assault which caused severe damages to the woman’s health. ‘But after she died and the charges were changed. The suspect pleaded partially guilty. He said he had his reasons.’

The man knelt down and kowtowed thrice to his elderly mother to show his respect. The devastated mother hugged his son and cried hard.

The prisoner's wife and mother were also present and had broken down in tears.

Afterwards, the man was escorted by the policemen to be executed. The incident recently took place in a prison in Daqing, north-east China's Heilongjiang Province, according to China top news.

Footage of the farewell scene began circulating on various Chinese websites on December 15.The prisoner has been named 30-year-old Li Shiyuan, who was a driver before being jailed.

The video shows Li's family members visiting him on the day of his execution.

When Li saw his wife and mother inside the prison, he kept saying: 'Let me hold my daughter.'

The man was then given the chance to hug his young child near the police car.

It was reported that Li caused the deaths of three people in May, 2015. The report said Li had an argument with one of the three people at a karaoke parlour. Li then drove a car and chased the trio to seek revenge.

The speedy car chase is said to have caused the trio's car to crash into a ditch. Their car burst into flames leaving the three to be burnt to death. Two other people in the wrecked car were reported injured.

Reports said Li was detained by the police the next day and given the death penalty by the court.

However, the Chinese media did not reveal what crime Li had been convicted of.
