Grass to Grace: Man who pushed wheelbarrow to fund education allegedly gets N15million record deal and a duplex (Details, pics)
Christmas came early for a young man identified as Chuvano Otuya as he was allegedly given a fifteen million naira record deal by a South African and Nigerian based record label known as Handsum Recordz.
The young man who graduated from the University of Benin shared the story of how he pushed wheelbarrow to pay for school. He explained that he rented wheelbarrows to help people push their items around markets for a fee.
His inspiring story alongside his amazing talent touched the heart of the record label’s boss who decided to sign a record deal with the young man. He was also reportedly given a duplex alongside the multi million dollar deal.
On an Instagram post, the young artist expressed that he would continue to share his story with the world to inspire others.
He said: "I PUSHED WHEELBARROW TO SUPPORT MY STUDIES AND MUSIC. So I shared a little part of my life story yesterday and the reactions I've been getting are dumbfounding. I decided to share here too, someone might still get inspired."
Before his record deal, Chuvan Otuya had released two successful singles, Oluwa Packaging and Village Meeting.
