An ultra-wealthy lawyer threw a $4 million birthday bash for his teenage son, complete with a star-studded guest list, burlesque dancers, and a new Ferrari waiting to whisk him away.
Thomas Henry Jr. celebrated his 18th birthday in style this weekend with a Gatsby-level bash thrown for him by his father, Thomas J. Henry Sr., 55, and mother, Azteca, 40.And this wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime fete for the family, either: Last year, Thomas Sr. spent $6 million on a quinceañera for his daughter Maya.
Thomas Jr.'s extravaganza on Saturday was attended by 400 VIPs, including actress Rumer Willis, singer Ashanti, supermodel Joanna Krupa, NSYNC's Lance Bass, Austin Mahone, and reality star Aubrey O'Day.
It was held at Hotel Discotheque in San Antonio, Texas and curated by Hollywood production designer Dylan Marer, who has done parties for Playboy and Maxim.
Guests enjoyed a cigar and whisky lounge, an ice bar serving champagne, and food like lobster and caviar. Entertainment included burlesque showgirls, aerial artists, provocateurs dancing in birdcages, contortionists swimming in oversized martini glasses.
There was an all-star line-up of performers, too, including while DJ Diplo, hip hop trio Migos, and reggaeton star J Balvin performed. The teenager beamed in photos as his blindfold was removed and he was surprised with the blue car, as well as an IWC Portugieser Tourbillon watch — which can cost over $200,000. He was also given a custom painting by graffiti artist Alec Monopoly.
But the cherry on top for Thomas was the birthday present he received earlier that day: a $250,000 Ferrari 488 Spyder.
'I couldn't have asked for a better 18th birthday party. My parents went all out,' he said after the party. Thomas Sr., who attended with wife Azteca Henry, 40, added: 'I had Azteca do all the heavy lifting as I was working in a jury trial.
'I wanted to give my son the party of his dreams,' he went on. 'I had a great night with my family. It provided life-long memories for us all.
'Little sister Maya, meanwhile, took to social media to wish her brother a happy birthday, posting an image of the two for her 50,000 followers.
She wrote: 'Happy 18th to my big brother!!!! You’re one of the funniest, smartest, and most fashionable people I've ever met. Even though you are mean sometimes I️ still love you. I've been blessed to have such a cool brother like you! Have a nice day and time to get lit!'Thomas also shared snaps from the night on social media, including one of him and his friends posing next to his brand new Ferarri.
He and Maya were pictured together at the party with other relatives, and the entire Henry clan wore clothes from the Versace Spring 2018 collection. He captioned the image: 'Never would have expected this. No other guys I'd rather spend my birthday with... just getting started.
'The teen's dad, who bankrolled the whole affair, is a lawyer and philanthropist who founded the national personal injury firm Thomas J. Henry Injury Attorneys.
The whole thing was reminiscent of MTV's notorious rich kid reality series My Super Sweet 16.The extravagant celebration comes nearly a year after Thomas Sr. threw his daughter Maya, who turns 17 this month, a $6 million quinceañera in 2016.
The youngster, who is pursuing a career in acting and will star alongside Dylan Sprouse in 2018 movie Carte Blanche, was dubbed 'the luckiest teenager in the world.
Held across a 55,000 square foot space in San Antonio, Maya's party was decorated with 30-foot tall cherry trees, walls of roses, fountains, a 'garden room', and a ballroom with butterflies suspended from the ceiling.
The party was attended by 600 guests, and there were performances by Pitbull and Nick Jonas.
She wore a bespoke Rolando Santana dress, and the family was escorted to the event in a fleet of nine Rolls Royce cars.
