Mkhitaryan and Fellaini can leave in January says Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho (Details, pics)

Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho has admitted he will not stand in the way of Henrik Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini if they want to leave in January.

The Armenian midfielder started the season brightly under Mourinho but he has since been out of favor with the former Chelsea boss.

Fellaini on the other side has played whenever he is available but he and his team have failed to agree on a new deal with United and he has less than one year left on his contract.

Mourinho sold Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin in last January’s transfer window and raised around £50 million for his summer budget.

United are keen on keeping Fellaini but a move for Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil suggests Mkhitaryan is surplus to requirements.

And Mourinho says he is willing to sell any unsettled player for the right price. "I think for the right price. That’s my approach as a manager, in cases where the club advises me," said Mourinho.

"I think every player has a price. If a player is not happy, if a player brings with him the request with the number that we consider a good number for us like it happened for us last season with Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin I would never say no."

Manchester United trail neighbours Manchester City by 11 points on the Premier League log and travel to the The Hawthorns on Sunday, December 17, to face Westbromwish Albion.
