African culture and especially Nigerian culture are appreciated by foreigners more the real owners and custodians of the culture such that even American pastors accepted chieftaincy titles in Nigeria.

Two American priests recently bagged chieftaincy titles in Ughivwen Kingdom, Delta state. The ministers of God, Bishop Shirley Stanfill and Pastor Timothy Stanfill were among 15 people conferred with chieftaincy titles by the Okobaro of Ughivwen Kingdom, HRM Matthew Ediri Egbi.

They were reportedly honoured because of their contribution to the development of the kingdom during the occasion marking the 6th coronation anniversary of the monarch.

Other activities during the coronation anniversary include inter-primary school quiz competition, novelty football match, lecture and cultural display.

HRM Matthew Ediri Egbi while speaking to his subjects warned them against intimidating contractors under the guise of “deve” by some locals. He described such act as strange to the kingdom.
