Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Receives 3 Transfer Offers to Leave Real Madrid (Details, pics)

Real Madrid icon Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly received three offers to leave the club.

According to a story from El Chiringuito's Edu Aguirre, the trio of possibilities have been presented to the Portuguese and "a very important offer" is set to be lodged in the coming days for the 32-year-old.

One of those clubs interested is said to be Chelsea."Aguirre went further to state that if the European champions do not close their talks with their No. 7 in the next four to six weeks, it would be difficult to see him remaining at the club," noted AS.

Ronaldo is waiting on Madrid to open new contract talks with him. That's despite only penning fresh terms in November 2016.Indeed, while he enjoyed more success on a personal level, it was a year to remember in terms of his accomplishments with Madrid, too.

Ronaldo enjoyed a remarkable 2017, as we can see here:The forward was exceptional as his side clinched a UEFA Champions League and La Liga double; Ronaldo netted twice in the final of the former, as Los Blancos brushed aside Juventus 4-1. Madrid also won the Spanish Super Cup, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

Ronaldo remains the key man in this Madrid side, as he is so often the decisive presence in crucial contests. As relayed by Sky Sports Statto, in the biggest games he tends to make a mark: In the summer there were plenty of reports suggesting Ronaldo might be set to leave Madrid. It was claimed by BBC Sport's Dan Roan that sources close to the Portuguese made it clear he wanted to move as he was upset at being accused of tax fraud.

As one of the most high-profile sporting figures in the world, there will always be buzz surrounding Ronaldo and that often includes transfer speculation.

It's why, despite the most recent round of Ronaldo rumours, it's difficult to envisage a scenario that sees the forward leave the club any time soon. The release clause in Ronaldo's current Madrid contract stands at a staggering €1 billion (£890 million).

ESPN FC's Dermot Corrigan suggested a reason why speculation may begin to intensify, though:

Not only would any prospective buyer have to pay an extraordinary sum of money to prise him away from Los Blancos, Ronaldo is approaching the twilight of his career. Additionally, while he may not be enjoying the best start to the 2017-18 term, the sharpshooter still has a massive role to play for Madrid for a while yet.

Plus, Ronaldo is a popular figure among the Madridistas, having led them to numerous titles, established himself as a talisman and arguably cemented his legacy as the greatest player to ever don the iconic all-white jersey.

If he was to be sold, regardless of the potential amount recouped, the reaction would be fierce.
