DJ Khaled and his one-year-old son Asahd steal the show at the Grammy Awards as they don matching red velvet YSL suits (Details, pics)

DJ Khaled's son Asahd may only be 15 months old, but he is already knows as a social media star and an award-winning producer - and now, thanks to his fashion-loving father, as a red carpet style icon.

The 42-year-old rapper and producer made an adorable sartorial statement at this year's Grammy Awards as he and his young son took to the red carpet in matching velvet suits. And it wasn't just each other that they matched; the father-son duo actually paired well with the red carpet in their bold velvet suits.

DJ Khaled carried his beloved son in his arms as he made his way down the carpet, happily pausing for interviews and pictures with Asahd by his side. Asked about the bold looks - which featured velvet trousers and jacket, as well as a white shirt, red bow tie, and black shoes - DJ Khaled told red carpet host Ryan Seacrest of their ensembles: 'You know we gotta do it big — like father, like son.

'He added that he and Asahd, who was named as an executive producer on his father's last album, Grateful, have both been busy 'in the studio cooking up a lot of things'.

Despite his young age, Asahd seemed more than comfortable on the carpet at the star-studded event, throwing just a minor tantrum at one point when he was seen crying while being held by his devoted dad - but he soon calmed down, and was ready and raring to go by the time DJ Khaled took to the stage alongside Rihanna to perform their hit track Wild Thoughts.

Sitting happily in his mother's lap, Asahd watched his father on stage, looking up eagerly to see the dynamic performance taking place before his eyes. The youngster even found the time to update his social media followers with a few behind-the-scenes snaps from his evening on the town.

Asahd, who boasts more than 1.8 million Instagram followers, shared two photos from his red carpet appearance; the first showed him perched in his dad's arms, with DJ Khaled holding a microphone up to his face as they did interviews.

The snap was captioned: 'Me and daddy doin press at the #grammys2018.'His second photo this time featured his mother Nicole, as well as Ryan Seacrest, with Asahd grinning happily as he peered out from behind a curtain, with E host Ryan popping up from the other side to say hello.

'My favorite part at #grammys208 was playing peek a boo with my friend Ryan Seacrest,' the caption read. It should come as no surprise that Asahd is so happy and confident on the red carpet as this is by no means the first time he has accompanied his father to such a high-profile event - nor is it the only time he has managed to make such a bold style statement in the process.

At the BET Awards back in June 2017, Asahd showed up on the red carpet in the exact same duck-egg blue Gucci suit as rapper Gucci Mane.

Asahd looked dapper in an adorable $560 children's version of Gucci's $2,750 ensemble.

Luckily, Gucci looked delighted to see Asahd moedeling such a stylish at the event, stopping to pick him up and taking photos with him.
