Ebonyi state Female lawmaker Ude Nwachi suspended for snapping 'too many photographs' (Details, pics)

A female lawmaker identified as Maria Ude Nwachi in Ebonyi state has been suspended for gross misconduct. The lawmaker was representing the Afikpo northeast constituency as a member of the House before her suspension.

Nwachi who was given two weeks suspension was accused of gross misconduct. The lawmaker was reportedly suspended for abusing and disgracing the House for working as a professional photographer. According to the House, the lawmaker was warned to stop working as a photographer but she refused to heed the warnings. It was gathered that Nwachi was told that her actions brought disrespect to the Assembly.

A special committee was said to have been constituted by the House to investigate the allegations that Nwachi works as a photographer in the state. The investigations would reportedly take place during her suspension.

The motion for Nwachi’s suspension was moved by the Leader of the House, Honourable Joseph Nwobasi and seconded by Honourable Okpo Franca. It was gathered that Honourable France adviced Nwachi who was a minority leader to leave the system and possibly go and work on herself.

“HON NWACHI SUSPENDED FROM THE HOUSE:Hon. Maria Ude Nwachi, a member representing Afikpo North -East constituency has been given a 2 week suspension from being a member in Ebonyi state house of Assembly for abusing and disgracing the honourable house by turning herself to ordinary photographer.

This came after series of warning and possible corrections from the honourable house. The leader of the house, Hon. Joseph Nwobashi moved the motion which was seconded by Hon Mrs Okpo Franca. Hon. Mrs Okpo advised her to leave the system and possibly go and work on her disgusting attitude that is bringing down the respect and honor given to the house.
