Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s son traditionally weds Chinua Achebe’s granddaughter in Umuahia, Abia state

It has just been reported that son of former Nigeria finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, got married to the granddaughter of popular Nigerian novelist, poet and critic, Chinua Achebe.

The private traditional wedding between Uchechi Iweala and Chioma Achebe reportedly took place in Umuahia, Abia state.

Son of the former minister of finance, Uchechi is a Harvard-trained scholar having graduated from the Harvard Medical School in 2014.

He works in Washington, DC and specializes in Orthopaedic Surgery while Chioma is also a graduate of Harvard Law and Business school and works as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BSG), Washington D.C.

Present at the traditional wedding ceremony were families of the couple. The lovebirds also stunned in beautiful traditional attires.
