Nigerian man poses as Emir of Kano to scam a white woman (Details, pics)

Just when one thought Yahoo boys or internet scammers have reduced their attacks on unwilling victims outside the country, one journalist has exposed how the name of the Emir of Kano, His Royal Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II was used to swindle an unsuspecting victim.

Writing via Twitter, Eromo Egbejule wrote that the scammer even appeared to clone the 1st class monarch’s phone number while extracting the sum of $500 (N180,000) from his victim.

“Just after tweeting about Ghana Burgers, a Frenchwoman DMed me. An imposter Emir of Kano with Instagram handle @hh_muhammadusanusi_ii defrauded her of $500. He told her to donate to charity.
