'It's payback time': Transgender taxi driver who won £4million on Lotto says those who snubbed her during hard times won't get a penny (Details, pics)

A transgender taxi driver who scooped £4million on a Lotto scratch card has said the four children who snubbed her won't get a penny.

The man, from Gloucester, matched five numbers and the bonus ball in the December 27 draw to win a total of £24,501,283, the biggest prize of 2017.

The top prize in the draw had to be won and, after no-one matched all six main numbers, the jackpot rolled down.

Melissa Ede, 57, from Hull, said she is planning to marry her fiancee, Rachel Nason, buy a home and write her autobiography following the windfall. .

She has also promised to reward her YouTube followers, who donated £5 and £20, for replace her rotting teeth. However, she refuses to share any of her winnings with her children – aged 19, 29, 30 and 39 – after they disowned her when she began her transition around 12 years ago.

'I know we should all love our children unconditionally but they cut me out of their lives,' she told the Sun. 'They weren't there during my hardest times and rejected me.

'She added that she didn't want 'false love' from them. 'The people who have stood by me through thick and thin — it's payback time for them,' she added. Ms Ede celebrated her win at a press conference in Willerby, near Hull, today after scooping a top prize of £4million on the Blue Scratch card from National Lottery GameStore.

Ms Ede said she told staff at the garage where she bought the winning card: 'You've just given me £4million - 2018 is going to be the best year ever. 'The former taxi driver has quit her job and that she is now looking forward to the wedding of her dreams.

'We instantly clicked when we met. We think alike, we post things on social media more or less saying same things at same time. Our birthdays are within hours of each other.

She said: 'I think there will be a wedding this year it will be a fantastic wedding as well it's not going to be a normal wedding. 'That initial meeting I knew I wanted that girl.

'She added: 'I now want to help others in similar situations and believe my autobiography will do just this. What a fairytale ending. It is all just like a dream. 'Ms Ede, 57, is well-known for her online videos which have received millions of views and she has thousands of followers on Facebook.

They mostly feature her singing in skimpy outfits with items often attached to her chest - including bottles of tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. She was previously whittled down to the last few hundred in the world out of 200,000 people who applied to join a Space mission to Mars and has appeared on Jeremy Kyle and Judge Rinder.

Camelot has previously been known for protecting its big lottery winners and will only name them if they choose to go public. And while Ms Ede has not spoken out yet, she has hinted at it on social media posts.

Posting on Twitter on Monday, she wrote: 'Tomorrow I will prove the impossible is actually possible. Stay tuned. 'She also tweeted the number four with laughing emojis.

'This is why I have these clothes on now. No way would I have paid this sort of money for clothes because what money I did have had to go on more essential things like eating.

'She said: 'I bought clothes for today. When I go clothes shopping it's usually Primark in the sales but yesterday I didn't even have to look at the price labels. 'Last year had been a very bad year,' she said. 'Both my parents died. They hadn't spoken to me in 12 years because they disowned me. I have no contact with any of my four children now.

'The windfall was a complete change of fortune for the taxi driver, who was born Leslie Laurence Ede. Ms Ede has has spoken about becoming a woman and revealed she had her operation on January 4, 2011. 'Even without money I love my life I love who I've become,' she said.

'Everybody used to look at me as this man Les yet screaming out from inside was Melissa. I love being me regardless of anything.

'Just last January, Ms Ede told the Hull Daily Mail that she was trying to raise £15,000 to get new teeth. At the time, she said: 'It would raise my confidence. For some of the videos, I stick chewing gum across my teeth or hold my top lip down so you cannot see my teeth.

She said she had looked at options through the NHS but it 'terrified' her and believed that it was not the 'suitable' route for her. 'They can call me what the hell they want. I am used to that but it would be nice to have the confidence to smile as I am doing it.

'I get attacked a bit about my teeth on some of the videos. 'I get really nasty comments - 'get your teeth sorted' and I get called bugs bunny a lot.

'She also spoke back in September about an audition she did for a German TV talent show. 'I came out with a suit jacket on, a mask over my face and a trilby hat on,' she said. 'I came out as a man, started singing in a deep voice then after 10 to 15 seconds, I go to the other part of the performance which is similar to what I do in my online videos as myself.

'The mask and suit jacket comes off and then I performed my song. 'It was a wonderful experience. It was exciting. It is something I never thought I would have done in my life. I got the audience involved and singing along.'

'I wasn't nervous whatsoever. I don't get nervous anymore. I don't know what it is, it's like bring it on, let's get this done.

Ms Ede also made it onto the Mail's Hull Sexy and Hull Power List in 2017.
