The lawmaker representing Kogi west at the national assembly, Senator Dino Melaye, has urged Aisha Buhari, wife of the president against going to Kogi state to commission what he termed fake infrastructure.

Melaye alleged that Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state is attempting to perpetrate fraud by commissioning projects he has not built. The lawmaker specifically cited Kogi Park as one of the projects which will be commissioned by wife of the president.

He argued that the park was built by the administration of former governor Wada and had already been commissioned by former governor Mimiko of Ondo state.

Melaye who disclosed this on Twitter said: "Kogi park built by former governor Wada’s government and commissioned by former governor Mimiko of Ondo state as he then was is one of the edifices painted to celebrate GYB’s 2 years in power and to be re- commissioned."

Mrs Buhari is a respected woman and should not allow herself to be used in perpetuating corruption in Kogi state. We love her and will not want Kogi state government to rubbish her.

Going further, Melaye said: "Let her investigate my assertions. Kogi state government have received over 200 billion naira in two years and yet no 1 kilometer road to showcase or commission.

"Kogites keep faith, this too shall pass away. Every lie has an expiry date. The reign of Jebusites in Kogi is temporal and evaporative. In God alone we trust so we fear no soul. We shall overcome."
